Multi-Trade Operative - Carpenter
Ipswich – covering the East region
£35,579 - £37,452 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm
We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our team based in Ipswich. This role sits in the East region D2D team, working out of the Ipswich office. This will require working as part of a team as well as lone working, and you will be required to carry out general maintenance on our properties in the East including installing windows, composite doors, residential doors, kitchens, bathrooms and LAS wet rooms and fencing. You will need experience in basic plumbing and laying vinyl floors.
The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:
Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in accordance with contract and service specifications
Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications
Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications
Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets

Skills and experiences:
To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
Working experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
PC literate and able to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

£35,579 per annum (rising to £37,452 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
