Summary of Role
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of products, materials, and medical samples while ensuring compliance with transport regulations and company procedures. You will play an important part in maintaining service excellence and supporting the continuity of critical healthcare operations.
Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled pickup and delivery activities in line with service requirements.
- Verify shipment details and ensure accurate transportation documentation.
- Obtain required signatures and proof of delivery.
- Transport products, materials, and medical samples safely and securely.
- Communicate delivery updates, delays, and shipment exceptions promptly.
- Support loading, unloading, packaging, and labelling activities.
- Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance requirements.
- Assist with specialist transport services, including transfer-point, airport, hand-to-hand, and adjusted schedule deliveries as required.
Skills and Knowledge
- Full, valid driving licence with a safe driving record.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow route plans and delivery schedules accurately.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
