Job summary
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for user and business needs.
Plan, execute, and monitor software development projects within schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies for successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee software application development projects and teams of junior developers.
- Allocate resources and create detailed plans for application delivery.
- Provide technical support for complex high-performance computing applications.
- Define product requirements, user stories, and epics with agile teams.
- Lead design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration across multiple project teams.
- Manage internal and outsourced development partners.
- Review designs for compliance with application development guidelines and standards.
- Provide technical leadership, innovation, and mentoring across software projects.
Education and experience
- A four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or commensurate experience or demonstrated competence, is recommended.
- Typically 7 to 10 years of experience in applications engineering, programming, or a related field is recommended.
