The CRM Systems Engineer serves as a technical subject-matter expert and system administrator for customers and internal teams using Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE/CRM.
The role develops and maintains the CRM platform, including customization, integration, migration, reporting, dashboards, web resources, solution files, security, and user interface development.
The role works with platform services, business stakeholders, and client teams and supports consistent, on-time delivery of high-quality releases.
Core responsibilities
- Gather and document business processes and system requirements with key business users.
- Architect CRM systems, customizations, and reports to model business organizational processes.
- Balance business requirements with technical constraints.
- Build and configure CRM forms, views, dashboards, workflows, plugins, and solution deployments.
- Design and develop D365 CDS PowerApps models and automate processes with Microsoft Flow.
- Design and develop Azure Data Factory pipelines and flows.
- Develop FetchXML reports.
- Resolve technical issues involving CRM servers and related technologies.
- Maintain the code repository and use GitHub for source control.
- Administer the CRM system using the SDK and support application issue resolution.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university.
- Seven to ten years of recent experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE/CRM projects.
- Experience with customizations, JavaScript, C#, .NET, HTML, MVC, SQL Server, plugins, scripting, and form creation.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SSIS, Azure deployment pipelines, and GitHub.
- Experience with CRM API, REST/OData, and SOAP endpoints.
- Strong understanding of security groups, roles, and teams.
- Comfort using Visual Studio, source control, and the CRM SDK.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, analytical, and technical explanation skills.
Desired skills
- Knowledge of Office 365 features that integrate with Dynamics CRM solutions, including SharePoint and mobility.
- Familiarity with Data Export Service and Azure SQL.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE certification.
- Ability to move between high-level system thinking and detail-oriented implementation.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and learn new technologies, tools, and organizational structures.
- Understanding of industry best practices for integration, architecture, tools, and processes.
- A self-starting, inquisitive approach across new and legacy technologies.
