The Mooring Master ensures safe vessel transit and mooring/unmooring operations at the Al Shaheen Field, complying with international and client standards. The role leads a Common Marine Team, conducts inspections, and maintains safety procedures.

Responsibilities
- Ensure export vessel safely transits through Al Shaheen Field and mooring/unmooring is executed safely
- Lead the Common Marine Team (CMT) on each FSO
- Perform inspections of terminal assets as per Terminal procedures
- Maintain up to date JSAs and risk assessments
- Assist HSE SA/Representative in performing audit of AHTs
Requirements
- IMO STCW 95 deck officer class 1 certificate, unlimited
- Minimum 30 months on board service as senior deck officer on AFRA MAX tankers or larger
- Minimum 36 months of mooring master experience including tandem mooring vessel above 150,000 DWT
- Pilotage certificate or license issued by National Competent Authority
- BST/HUET or BOSIET
- Experience in SPM and Hoses Maintenance is a plus

Job Overview
- Under the authority of the Client HSE SA/Representative, ensures export vessel safety and mooring/unmooring execution at Al Shaheen Field.
- Reports to the Company's HSE SA.
General Tasks
- Demonstrates incident free mindset and complies with Company's 10 important rules.
- Performs tasks delegated by Company's HSE SA and/or representative.
- Maintains up to date JSAs and risk assessments.
- Performs inspections of terminal assets when requested.
- Responsible for common marine team activities and performance.
- Responsible for FSO support boats introduction to the field.
- Familiarizes and complies with Company rules, terminal processes, national/international laws, maritime legislation, OPITO & IMCA standards.
CMT Duties
- Export Vessel Pilotage
- Mooring/Unmooring Export Vessels
- Export hose connection/disconnection
- Level One Maintenance of SPM & Mooring Hawser, Mooring fitting spares, Tandem Hawser, Floating hoses
Additional Duties
- Assists HSE SA/Representative in performing audit of AHTs.
- Ensures adherence to Company Procedures, Policies, Legislation, Regulations, and Client Standard Operating Procedures.
- Completes all works to Client's satisfaction.
- During emergencies, performs tasks as required.
Certificates
- IMO STCW 95 deck officer class 1 certificate, unlimited
- Bridge Team Resource Management
- Duties to fulfil on tankers (STCW V/1 §2)
- Pilotage certificate or license issued by National Competent Authority
- Record of Pilotage Training Simulator training
- Testing gas in enclosed spaces
- BST/HUET or BOSIET
Qualifications
- Technical certificates or relevant nautical studies
Experience
- Minimum 30 months on board service as senior deck officer on AFRA MAX tankers or larger.
- Minimum 36 months of mooring master experience including tandem mooring vessel above 150,000 DWT.
- Familiar with area of operations, navigational hazards, and environmental conditions.
- Familiar with operation of terminal tugs.
- Attended minimum six berthing/un berthing operations and performed three under supervision.
Technical Skills
- Experience in SPM and Hoses Maintenance is a plus
