will include preparation of food and beverages and the organisation of the service of food, along with understanding the requirements of special diets.

may include serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables) and cleaning of the kitchen, it's surround and equipment.

Completion of basic bookwork and electronic returns may also be required.

You will earn a competitive salary of £26,786.83 - £29,170.80 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

• £14.27 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

This work is about ensuring residents are provided with meals throughout the day.

Training on in house systems will be provided.

Working towards an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate will be essential once in post.

Catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent is essential.

Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.

You will be required to attend an induction training day before starting in post.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
