Role overview
DXC Technology is seeking an experienced Mobile Automation Test Engineer for automated quality assurance across native Android and iOS applications.
The role focuses on scalable mobile testing frameworks, UI automation, snapshot testing, visual regression, and reliable release quality.
The engineer will collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated UI testing frameworks for native Android and iOS applications.
- Build automated test suites with Espresso for Android and XCUITest for iOS.
- Establish mobile automation standards, best practices, and test design patterns.
- Implement snapshot testing and validate UI consistency across devices, resolutions, and operating system versions.
- Test complex workflows and dynamic content, and investigate visual regressions, rendering issues, and functional defects.
- Improve automation reliability, maintainability, execution speed, and coverage.
- Define test strategies, quality gates, automation criteria, and quality metrics.
- Review requirements early, identify risks and test scenarios, and apply shift-left testing.
- Monitor results, analyze failures, determine root causes, and support resolution with development teams.
