The Journeyman Millwright is employed within Ketek to service Ketek and Client equipment.
The Millwright will carefully take apart, categorize, store or move old equipment, analyze plans for new equipment, map out space, and assemble new equipment.
This position is a Shop-based position.
Plan, inspect, service, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, dismantle/assemble parts, rebuild, and make the necessary repairs to all Ketek and Client equipment.
Troubleshoot, plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, low voltage direct current, electronics and pneumatic principles, trade techniques, properties of various materials, operating and application principles of equipment.
Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, water pressure systems, fans, tanks, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand or power tools.
Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions.
Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Repair or replace defective parts on machinery.
Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation by hand, power tools and welding equipment.
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
Receive general instructions and plans for the work to be performed.
Communicate with other journeyman, engineers, trades and supervisor on methods, procedures and hazards.
Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine the work needed.
Mentor Millwright Apprentices.
Perform routine housekeeping duties in the shop and yard cleanup/maintenance.

Regular exposure to loud noises (hearing protection is provided when needed)
Shop environment – subject to change.
