Millwright

The Millwright (Hoist Maintenance) role offers the opportunity for you to be responsible for safely repairing and maintaining hoist equipment at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operations.

The roster will be 7 days on and 7 days off (12 hours), with the flexibility to transition to a 14 days on and 14 days off (12 hours) roster if preferred. Whilst residential is preferred, the role is also open to FIFO and DIDO, with access to our camp accommodation.

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. Our compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $149,600 CAD.

Key result areas will include:

Repair and maintain hoists, machinery and hydraulic components from drawings.

Assemble, install, test and maintain operating systems and components of machinery and equipment.

Inspect operation systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

Assist in the training of apprentices on procedures and safe operating practices.

Prioritize tasks and clearly report details of work completion.

Provide suggestions on project improvements.

Partake in training sessions to keep up to date of equipment on site.

Able to work in an underground environment.

Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.

Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.

Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

As the Millwright, you will have post-secondary institution in a mechanical-related program or have acquired qualifications of the trade by progressively advancing through an apprenticeship program in order to become certified. A valid Journeyman Millwright Interprovincial Certificate is an essential requirement for this role.

It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:

Three (3) years trades experience in a heavy industry field.

Solid comprehension and ability to read technical drawings.

Comfortable working on hoists.

Competent ability to work with hydraulics.

Well-developed ability to comprehend and interpret operations manuals.

Good working knowledge of computerized maintenance systems.

Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants.

Highly safety-oriented with a superior level of conscientiousness.

Good verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with others.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Good decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

Able to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
