Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Feedlot is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot, and processing facility. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality.

Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in southern NSW. Being in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The Feedlot has a capacity of 53,333 head, employs approximately 60 team members, and has a strong reputation for producing award winning grain-fed beef for key domestic and international customers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Grain milling and commodity intake functions

Feed commodity ration batching and feed delivery

Front end loader operations, machinery operation and feed truck driving as required

Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations

Commodity handling and processing experience

A demonstrated ability to work well both independently and within a team environment

Ability to multitask and ensure that equipment is maintained as required

Boiler Operator ticket and mechanical aptitude would be an advantage

A high level of initiative, attention to details and the ability to meet deadlines

Basic computer literacy skills
