Role Description

  • The Midwife at Nightingale Health Services LLC is a full time, on site role based in Dubai, providing professional midwifery care and support within clients’ homes and designated care settings.
  • Day to day responsibilities include offering antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care; conducting assessments of pregnant and postpartum clients; and providing evidence based education on pregnancy, birth, newborn care, and breastfeeding.
  • The Midwife will support families with post cesarean and postnatal recovery, assist with newborn care routines, and collaborate with lactation consultants to address feeding concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Offering antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
  • Conducting assessments of pregnant and postpartum clients
  • Providing evidence based education on pregnancy, birth, newborn care, and breastfeeding
  • Supporting families with post cesarean and postnatal recovery
  • Assisting with newborn care routines
  • Collaborating with lactation consultants to address feeding concerns
  • Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, coordinated care
  • Maintaining accurate documentation
  • Promoting best practices in maternal and infant health

Qualifications

  • Professional midwifery skills, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, newborn assessment, and postpartum recovery support
  • Strong knowledge of breastfeeding support, lactation principles, and parent education on infant feeding and care
  • Ability to provide calm, trauma informed, and culturally sensitive support to birthing individuals, newborns, and families in home settings
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills to educate and reassure clients and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Solid clinical judgment, observation, and documentation skills, with attention to safety, infection control, and evidence based practice
  • Valid midwifery qualification and license/registration as required in Dubai; prior experience in home healthcare, maternity, or neonatal settings is highly beneficial
  • Ability to travel locally for home visits, work flexible schedules (including evenings or nights as needed), and manage care independently and responsibly
  • Proficiency in basic digital tools for electronic records and scheduling; fluency in English required, additional languages in the region are an advantage
