Role overview
Support State Street's middle office team in delivering services to investment management clients.
The role has responsibility for day-to-day transactional activities and end-to-end middle office trade management services.
The description characterizes the position as having junior-level responsibility within middle office operations.
Responsibilities
- Support a large international investment management client and provide service to internal and external clients.
- Communicate with clients, custodians, brokers, managers, and peers.
- Log and resolve client inquiries and escalate unresolved matters appropriately.
- Deliver daily and monthly services according to client service-level agreements.
- Process trade transactions and manage daily settlements.
- Participate in review meetings and facilitate new market initiative setup.
- Contribute to audit and risk management initiatives and complete assigned projects.
Qualifications
- A degree in finance, accounting, or business management is preferred.
- At least two years of prior business experience is required.
- Understanding of the investment management industry and investment manager operations is required.
- Good understanding of the F2B trade lifecycle is required.
- Clear, concise, and professional communication skills are required.
- Strong PC skills with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel are required.
Skills and work style
- Strong attention to detail, ownership, organization, multitasking, and prioritization are expected.
- The candidate should be proactive, flexible, professional, and able to solve problems.
- The role requires understanding process risks and managing work effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility to work night shifts from 8 PM onward is required.
