About the Role

  • Cantor Fitzgerald is seeking a highly motivated MENA Middle Office Associate to join our growing Dubai office.
  • This is a key operational role supporting both our Equities and Fixed Income businesses across the GCC and wider MENA region.
  • Working at the centre of trading, operations and client service, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient execution, settlement and support of transactions.

Equities Operations

  • Manage trade confirmation, matching and settlement across GCC equity markets.
  • Resolve settlement issues by liaising with custodians, prime brokers and executing brokers.
  • Ensure the correct Investor IDs are applied to all orders in accordance with local exchange requirements.
  • Reconcile trades between internal trading systems and counterparty confirmations.
  • Monitor and resolve failing trades to minimise settlement risk.
  • Produce client reporting on trade status, settlement progress and operational issues.
  • Process corporate actions including dividends, rights issues and bonus share events.
  • Support block trade allocations and give up processes.
  • Maintain standing settlement instructions and counterparty static data.
  • Work closely with the London Operations team to ensure consistent global processes.

Fixed Income Operations

  • Support trade confirmation and settlement across GCC sovereign bonds, sukuk and corporate credit.
  • Coordinate settlement through Euroclear, Clearstream and local CSDs.
  • Manage coupon payments, accrued interest calculations and redemption processing.
  • Perform daily position reconciliations with custodians.
  • Support repo and financing activity as the business develops.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting requirements under DFSA obligations.
  • Provide operational support for debt capital market transactions, including new issue allocations and settlement.
  • Monitor upcoming bond maturities, call dates and sukuk dissolution events.
  • Liaise with paying agents and trustees regarding income and corporate action events.

Operational & Business Support

  • Act as the primary post trade operational contact for the Dubai Sales & Trading desk.
  • Support the continued build out of Cantor Fitzgerald's MENA operational infrastructure.
  • Partner with Technology, Compliance and London Operations on system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, controls and documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding of new counterparties, custodians and market infrastructure, including KYC and account opening.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new systems and enhancements.
  • Contribute to operational risk management and incident reporting within the firm's control framework.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Middle Office, Trade Support or Operations within an investment bank or broker.
  • Strong knowledge of GCC equity and/or fixed income markets.
  • Understanding of trade lifecycle management, settlement and reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with regional market infrastructure, custodians and settlement practices.
  • Knowledge of Investor ID requirements across GCC exchanges.
  • Experience with OMS platforms such as Fidessa, Hydra or similar would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet market deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across Front Office, Operations and external counterparties.
  • A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
