Role overview
HotDoc builds software that improves communication between patients and doctors across more than 5,000 clinics and 25,000 practitioners.
The role sits in the Health Continuity mission-based team, which supports continuity of patient care across the practice network.
This is a mid-level delivery role with end-to-end ownership of features from design through production support.
What you'll do
- Deliver products and features end to end using clear, maintainable, and trusted code.
- Share knowledge through pairing, code reviews, and feedback on design patterns.
- Own operational health through monitoring, alerting, on-call participation, and blameless postmortems.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to develop patient-focused experiences.
- Build and scale products and features iteratively while balancing speed, stability, security, and modularity.
What you'll bring
- Around 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Solid production experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with Ember.js or a comparable component-based JavaScript framework, with willingness to ramp on Ember.
