Role Summary
The mid-level interior designer independently leads design conceptualization, technical development, and execution oversight for commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
The role serves as the design authority and primary point of accountability for an assigned project portfolio.
Qualifications and Experience
- A diploma, bachelor's degree, or master's degree in interior design is required.
- Six to eight or more years of relevant experience and demonstrated end-to-end project ownership are required.
- Experience in interior design across residential, institutional, and commercial projects is required.
Design and Technical Skills
- Hands-on AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory for drafting, editing, detailing, and producing working drawings.
- The role requires construction documents, GFC drawings, sections, elevations, details, FF&E deliverables, and as-built documentation.
- SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar 3D visualization tools are preferred.
- Photoshop or similar tools, MS Office, Excel, and cloud-based file-sharing platforms are used for presentations, trackers, and version control.
- The designer must coordinate structural and MEP drawings and identify clashes.
