Mid-Level Program Analyst FBI – Criminal Justice Information Services Division

M-F 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Job Description The Program Analyst will support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) Section at the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division in Clarksburg, WV.

The Program Analyst will work with the Senior Program Analyst and NICS personnel in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment, to provide the timely determination of a person's eligibility to possess firearms or explosives in accordance with federal law.

The government prefers contractor personnel be assigned full time (40 hours/week) and be available on site at the CJIS facility throughout the periods of performance.

All work shall take place within the NICS Section, with a possibility to work Monday through Sunday, including all federal holidays except Christmas.

Analysts must be willing to work multiple shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the agency’s need.

• Responsible for the accuracy of all work completed and held accountable to the standards set forth in the NICS section standard operating procedures (SOP). Employees work will be monitored by existing NICS Assessment and training Unit personnel and reviewed in accordance with the quality standards set within the NICS Section
• Compose proper transaction research comments
• Verify/validate documents received and current documents withing the NICS and/or other CJIS Division databases
