Microsoft Cloud and Security Engineer (Melbourne, VIC, AU)

Extensive experience administering and securing Microsoft Entra ID capabilities, including conditional access policies, privileged identity management, enterprise applications and service principals.

Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, Viva Engage and related Microsoft 365 applications.

Demonstrated experience in information security, with a strong focus on cloud security, identity protection, compliance and secure enterprise platform management.

Experience using Microsoft security and compliance technologies, including Data Loss Prevention, Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager, eDiscovery and Microsoft Defender capabilities across Azure and Microsoft 365.

Sound understanding of cloud computing technologies, major cloud service providers and the security challenges associated with operating enterprise cloud environments.

Knowledge of contemporary security tools and practices, including intrusion detection and prevention, SIEM, endpoint protection, threat intelligence, security analytics and common attack frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.

Experience with Microsoft Azure administration and AWS security technologies, including CloudTrail, Security Hub and Amazon Guard Duty, would be highly regarded.

Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications, are highly desirable.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
