Role Overview

The Sales Manager I is responsible for actively soliciting and processing sales opportunities, supporting daily sales activities, and achieving individual sales goals.

The position is based at the hotel in Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is scheduled full time with no remote work indicated.

Education and Experience

  • Either a two-year degree from an accredited university in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or a related field plus 3 years of relevant sales and marketing experience.
  • Alternatively, a four-year bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or a related field plus 1 year of relevant experience.

Relationship and Business Development

  • Coordinate with external hotel sales channels to complement sales efforts and avoid duplication.
  • Build relationships with existing and new customers through sales visits, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, and other activities to generate future bookings.
  • Develop community relationships, expand the sales opportunity customer base, and manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Provide accurate, complete, and effective business turnover information to banquet management.

Sales Operations

  • Participate in sales calls with team members to obtain new business and close business.
  • Execute and support booking operations, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and preparing customer correspondence.

Market and Revenue Growth

  • Identify new business to achieve individual and hotel revenue goals.
  • Understand competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, and how to sell against market conditions.
  • Identify the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.
  • Understand target customers, their businesses and concerns, and provide solutions that improve business outcomes.

Customer Service

  • Support company service and relationship strategies by delivering excellent service throughout each customer experience.
  • Implement customer service standards, improve market share, model positive customer relationships, and collect guest feedback on product quality and service levels.
