Meter Maintenance Supervisor

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for supervisory and administrative duties in the management of the daily activities and operations of the Meter Maintenance Department.
• QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

• EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or GED required. 3 years related experience or technical training working on meters or water distribution system. Position requires working knowledge of multiple software platforms including; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.), AUS CIS Infinity, and Neptune 360. Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Excellent oral and written communications skills required. Good math skills required. State of Georgia Water Distribution Operator preferred. Certification in Confined Space Entry, CPR and First Aid Standard, and GA Backflow Prevention Tester; certification(s) may be obtained within twelve months of employment if otherwise qualified. Ability to navigate throughout the service area using maps, landmarks, and physical addresses required. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor weather conditions required.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret operating and maintenance instructions, safety procedures, standard operating procedures, schematic drawings, etc. Ability to write reports, effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret various graphs and charts.
• REASONING ABILITY:
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Valid Driver’s License, Confined Space Entry, First Aid/CPR and GA Backflow Prevention Tester Certification. State of Georgia Water Distribution Operator Certification preferred.
