Role Overview
Seeking a MERN Stack Developer with experience building offline-first and disconnected applications.
The role involves scalable web applications that continue working in low-connectivity or no-network environments.
The developer will support reliable synchronization, caching, conflict resolution, and data consistency.
MERN Development
- Develop and maintain applications with MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
- Build responsive React interfaces using Hooks, Context API, and Redux.
- Design scalable backend services and APIs.
- Optimize database performance, queries, and application responsiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions.
Offline-First Architecture
- Design applications for intermittent or unavailable internet connectivity.
- Implement client-side storage with IndexedDB, LocalStorage, PouchDB, or SQLite.
- Develop client-server data synchronization mechanisms.
- Handle conflict resolution and maintain consistency across systems.
- Implement retry logic, offline queues, and eventual consistency models.
APIs and Performance
- Design RESTful APIs and GraphQL services with versioning and backward compatibility.
- Develop synchronization services and background processing workflows.
- Optimize applications for slow or unreliable networks.
- Improve React performance and reduce bundle size.
- Use service workers, CDN technologies, and Redis for caching where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of MERN Stack development experience.
- Strong JavaScript ES6+ and modern React proficiency.
- Hands-on experience with React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
- Experience building offline-first or disconnected applications.
- Knowledge of client-side storage technologies.
- Experience with synchronization, conflict resolution, and caching strategies.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs or GraphQL.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PouchDB and CouchDB synchronization.
- Knowledge of React Native or Ionic.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
