  • SCH operates through flexible collaboration models, including leading syndicated deals via SPVs, facilitating connections between high potential startups and strategic investors, and providing specialized scouting and advisory services.

Role Description

  • The Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist is a full time, on site role based in Dubai.
  • This position is responsible for sourcing and evaluating potential acquisition and investment opportunities in line with SCH’s strategy.
  • Day to day activities include conducting financial and commercial due diligence, building valuation models, analyzing market and competitive landscapes, and preparing investment memos and presentations.
  • The specialist will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate key deal terms, support SPV structuring, and oversee transaction execution from initial assessment to closing.
  • The role also involves maintaining an active pipeline of opportunities, monitoring portfolio performance, and contributing insights to SCH’s broader investment and advisory initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills, including financial modeling, data interpretation, and critical thinking.
  • Candidates should possess solid Finance and Investments capabilities, such as valuation, capital markets understanding, and deal structuring.
  • Candidates should possess comprehensive Due Diligence expertise, including risk assessment, commercial analysis, and documentation review.
  • Candidates should possess practical Accounting knowledge, including financial statements analysis and familiarity with IFRS or other relevant standards.
  • Relevant academic background (e.g., degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field) is preferred.
  • Prior experience in M&A, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, or investment banking is highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, manage multiple projects, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with the technology and startup ecosystem, particularly in regional or global markets, is an advantage.
