Merchant Accountant I

Our global finance team responsible for managing settlements across EMEA & APAC for 11 legal entities, handling payables and receivables in 80+ currencies.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting business operations:

Prepare and post accurate journal entries and account postings

Investigate and resolve erroneous entries, rejected payments, and transaction issues

Perform detailed account reconciliations across high transaction volumes

Analyse financial data and statements to identify trends and discrepancies

Partner with operational teams to resolve client queries and improve processes

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance operations

Solid understanding of accounting procedures and reconciliation processes

Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)

Proven experience handling large-scale reconciliations

Strong capability in managing and analysing high volumes of financial data

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
