Role Overview
Alphatel is hiring an experienced MEP Technician with strong electrical and ELV experience.
The role supports installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting for residential precast-concrete villas in Abu Dhabi.
Accommodation will be provided, and technicians willing to relocate from other cities may apply.
Project and Location
- Project: Residential villas using precast concrete construction.
- Work is performed in villas, including ceiling-level and high-level areas in a site environment.
- Location: Abu Dhabi.
Employment
- Employment type: Full-time.
Electrical and ELV Duties
- Install lighting and power systems and complete straight and final connections.
- Pull and route cables through conduits and cable pathways.
- Pull and terminate cables for lighting, power, AC control, data, and CCTV systems.
- Install and terminate switches, sockets, electrical accessories, and related components.
- Carry out ceiling-level cable routing and other related electrical works.
Distribution Boards and Testing
- Carry out DB dressing for ground-floor and first-floor distribution boards.
- Arrange, terminate, label, and organize cables inside distribution boards.
- Conduct continuity, insulation, polarity, and basic electrical testing.
- Identify cable or conduit issues, report damaged or inaccessible conduits, and assist with troubleshooting.
Safety and Coordination
- Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and UAE electrical standards.
- Maintain housekeeping and safe working practices.
- Coordinate with the MEP supervisor, site engineer, and other trades.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant MEP or electrical experience.
- Strong residential or villa electrical installation experience.
- Experience with cable pulling, cable termination, DB dressing, lighting, power, AC control, data, and CCTV.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and use electrical testing equipment.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of UAE electrical safety requirements and ability to work independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with precast concrete structures is preferred.
- ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- UAE experience is preferred.
- Relevant electrical or MEP certifications are advantageous.
