Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

• Inspect mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA works for stormwater pumping stations.
• Verify construction compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
• Conduct site inspections and document observations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Witness installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
• Review delivered materials against approved material submittals.
• Monitor contractor compliance with method statements, ITPs, and quality procedures.
• Report non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements.
• Maintain inspection records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants, clients, and authorities.
• Assist with as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and handover documentation.
• Support closeout activities, final inspections, and snagging works.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least seven years of construction inspection or supervision experience on infrastructure projects.
• Experience on stormwater, wastewater, water utility, or pumping station projects.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment, electrical installations, instrumentation, SCADA, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, ITPs, method statements, and construction standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of construction HSE requirements.
• Strong reporting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inspection reporting systems.
• Ability to work with contractors, consultants, clients, and authorities.

Desired Skills

• Major stormwater pumping station experience in the UAE or GCC is preferred.
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authority requirements and approval processes is preferred.
• Professional certifications in construction inspection, quality management, or health and safety are preferred.
