Responsibilities
- Develop coordinated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs, drawings, and layouts in accordance with project requirements, local codes, and authority standards
- Prepare detailed CAD drawings and BIM compatible models
- Size and select MEP systems and equipment
- Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, and interior disciplines
- Review and update design documents, support authority submissions, and respond to technical queries
- Collaborate with project engineers and site teams to resolve design issues and incorporate value engineering options
Requirements
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical exposure to MEP building services design
- Proficiency in Technical Drawing and Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools
- Experience in Machine Design and Research and Development (R&D)
- Familiarity with UAE building codes and authority requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in building projects such as residential, commercial, industrial, and warehouse facilities preferred
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Proficiency in MS Office; exposure to BIM tools (e.g., Revit) or MEP design software is an advantage

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site MEP Designer role based in Dubai.
- The MEP Designer will develop coordinated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs, drawings, and layouts in accordance with project requirements, local codes, and authority standards.
Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed CAD drawings and BIM compatible models
- Sizing and selecting MEP systems and equipment
- Coordinating designs with architectural, structural, and interior disciplines
- Reviewing and updating design documents, supporting authority submissions, and responding to technical queries from project stakeholders
- Collaborating with project engineers and site teams to resolve design issues, incorporate value engineering options, and support smooth transition from design to construction
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical exposure to MEP building services design
- Proficiency in Technical Drawing and Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools for producing accurate, coordinated MEP drawings and layouts
- Experience in Machine Design and Research and Development (R&D) for optimizing system performance, efficiency, and reliability
- Familiarity with UAE building codes, authority requirements (e.g., Dubai Municipality, civil defense, DEWA), and relevant international standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Experience in building projects such as residential, commercial, industrial, and warehouse facilities is preferred
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings and integrate MEP systems effectively
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to solve technical issues under time constraints
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on site
- Proficiency in MS Office; exposure to BIM tools (e.g., Revit) or MEP design software is an advantage
