Responsibilities
- Serve as the field based scientific expert for assigned therapeutic areas
- Develop and maintain high value scientific relationships with Key External Experts and healthcare stakeholders
- Conduct peer to peer scientific discussions to advance understanding of disease management
- Gather and communicate field medical insights to support medical plans
- Support evidence generation strategies including real world evidence projects and investigator initiated studies
- Support scientific publications, congress activities, and educational programmes
- Ensure all activities comply with local regulations, company policies, and ethical standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or relevant healthcare discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industry
- Minimum 2 years' Medical Affairs experience within Saudi Arabia or comparable healthcare environment
- Previous MSL, Medical Advisor, or comparable scientific role experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage

Role Summary
- As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you serve as the field based scientific expert within assigned therapeutic areas, building trusted peer to peer relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), healthcare organizations, and other healthcare stakeholders.
- You will independently engage in scientific exchange, communicate complex clinical and scientific information, generate actionable medical insights, support evidence generation initiatives, and contribute to the implementation of local medical strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Scientific Expertise and Medical Leadership: Serve as the scientific expert for assigned therapeutic areas and products.
- External Scientific Engagement and Stakeholder Partnerships: Develop and maintain high value scientific relationships with KEEs, HCPs, and healthcare organizations.
- Medical Education, Evidence Generation and Scientific Advancement: Support planning and delivery of scientific and medical education initiatives.
- Medical Insights and Strategy Implementation: Gather, analyse, and communicate field medical insights to support local medical plans.
- Cross Functional Partnership and Business Support: Collaborate effectively with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, and other teams.
- Medical Governance, Compliance and Operational Excellence: Ensure all activities comply with local regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or another relevant healthcare discipline is required. Postgraduate qualification, Master's, PharmD, PhD, or Medical Degree is advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industry. Minimum of 2 years' Medical Affairs experience within Saudi Arabia or a comparable healthcare environment is required.
- Knowledge & Skills: Strong knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas, clinical research, and evidence generation. Excellent presentation, scientific communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Working Conditions
- Full time field based role combining office, virtual, and external stakeholder engagement activities across Saudi Arabia and the GCC region.
- Significant domestic and regional travel is required.
- Frequent participation in congresses, advisory boards, scientific meetings, and educational events.
