Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Technician with 3–5 years of experience in maintaining secondary line equipment in a beverage, FMCG, packaging, or manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of packaging and material handling equipment to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of secondary line machines.
- Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, labeling machines, Wadding machines, coding machines, and stretch wrapping machines.
- Carry out mechanical overhauling, alignment, bearing replacement, chain and sprocket maintenance, and lubrication activities.
- Monitor machine performance and identify potential failures.
- Assist in installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment.
- Ensure machine availability and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with production and utility teams during maintenance activities.
- Maintain maintenance records and spare parts consumption data.
- Follow safety procedures, LOTO practices, and housekeeping standards.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
What makes you great
3–5 Years in Secondary Line Maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting skills in packaging and conveyor systems.
Knowledge of pneumatic systems, valves, cylinders, and air preparation units.
Experience in chain drives, gearboxes, bearings, and mechanical power transmission systems.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
Familiarity with TPM, preventive maintenance, and breakdown analysis.
Basic welding and fabrication knowledge is preferred.
