The Mechanical Technician will support mechanical maintenance and equipment-related activities, including inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, documentation, and coordination.
Work arrangement
- The role is part-time and hybrid in the United Arab Emirates, subject to role and site requirements.
- Flexible hours may be available where operational requirements allow.
- Applicants must currently be based in the United Arab Emirates.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of mechanical equipment, machinery, and related systems.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules.
- Identify mechanical faults, abnormal conditions, wear, and equipment performance issues.
- Assist with troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, and basic equipment testing.
- Maintain maintenance records, service reports, inspection logs, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams, contractors, suppliers, and other technical personnel.
- Review equipment manuals, technical drawings, specifications, and maintenance procedures.
- Report equipment issues, recurring faults, safety concerns, and maintenance requirements.
- Support tools, spare parts, and maintenance material identification or ordering.
- Follow safety procedures and technical standards during maintenance activities.
- Assist with equipment installation, servicing, testing, and commissioning.
- Support improvements to preventive maintenance procedures and equipment reliability.
Requirements
- Three or more years of experience in mechanical maintenance, equipment maintenance, mechanical operations, or a related technical field is preferred.
- A technical diploma, vocational qualification, or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical equipment, machinery, tools, and maintenance procedures is required.
- Candidates should understand basic technical drawings, equipment manuals, and specifications.
- Candidates should have troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, coordination, and task-prioritization skills.
- Experience with contractors, suppliers, or maintenance management systems is an advantage.
