Mechanical Technician Duties
- Use OBD-II scanners, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit testing software to diagnose complex engine, transmission, and electrical faults.
- Test, repair, and replace starter motors, alternators, ignition systems, fuses, relays, and complete wiring harnesses.
- Perform engine tune-ups, brake servicing, suspension repairs, fluid flushes, and timing belt replacements.
- Install and configure GPS units, dashcams, LED lighting, parking sensors, audio systems, and other aftermarket accessories.
- Inspect and service high-voltage battery packs, charging circuits, inverter systems, and safety disconnects in electric and hybrid vehicles.
- Road-test vehicles before and after repairs to verify functionality and ensure compliance with OEM safety standards.
Requirements
- Ability to diagnose complex engine, transmission, and electrical faults using automotive diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to test, repair, and replace automotive electrical components and wiring harnesses.
- Ability to service electric and hybrid vehicle high-voltage systems safely.
