Mechanical Install Technician

Toyota Automated Logistics is a system integrator and is one of the fastest growing material handling companies in the world. We are looking for a Mechanical Field Installer to travel to customer sites domestically to install multimillion dollar material handling systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of automation, and good oral and written communication skills.

Mechanical Field Installers are the representatives for Toyota Automated Logistics on site during the installation and go-live phase of large projects. Mechanical Field Installers will collaborate with subcontractors and ensure that milestones are completed. They are hands-on and must be able to troubleshoot and fix issues that arise during the commissioning of our material handling systems.

(This position requires up to 90% travel and will be at a site from 4 weeks to several months depending on the project.)

Safely complete daily tasks assigned to you by site leadership in a timely manner and to desired expectations and outcomes.

Perform or assist in mechanical installation work under direct supervision of a more senior Installer, such as a Lead or Supervisor.

Learn how to handle basic issues and troubleshoot a system.

Learn or increase knowledge of basic installation and site safety requirements.

Learn proper hardware usage.

Assist in and learn installation methods.

Learn troubleshooting methods and techniques.

Apply learned skills to job duties.

Assist more senior personnel in electrical installations, connections, and terminations under close supervision.
