Mechanical Inspector

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Inspect HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, and other mechanical components against Saudi and international standards.
• Prepare inspection reports, analyze findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Supervise mechanical contractors and installation teams for quality, specifications, schedule, and safety.
• Test and commission mechanical systems and document results and certifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Maintain records for inspections, testing, compliance, audits, and regulatory purposes.
• Identify safety hazards and non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Mentor junior inspectors and site personnel on inspection procedures and quality practices.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend maintenance or replacement strategies.
• Ensure contractual and quality assurance requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage multiple inspection projects and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in mechanical inspection, quality assurance, construction supervision, or a related construction field.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural components, Saudi codes, and international construction standards.
• Proficiency in technical documentation, blueprint reading, CAD, inspection software, and digital documentation systems.
• Supervisory experience managing contractors and site personnel.
• Experience with commissioning and testing, safety management, quality assurance, technical reporting, and construction project software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Professional certification in mechanical inspection or construction quality assurance is preferred.
• Arabic language skills are preferred.

Workplace

• The Work Location Model is On-Site.
• The role requires physical ability to conduct on-site inspections in various environmental conditions.
• New employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
