Role Overview
AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Inspector for construction projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The role covers mechanical inspections, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Inspect HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, and other mechanical components against Saudi and international standards.
- Prepare inspection reports, analyze findings, and recommend corrective actions.
- Supervise mechanical contractors and installation teams for quality, specifications, schedule, and safety.
- Test and commission mechanical systems and document results and certifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Maintain records for inspections, testing, compliance, audits, and regulatory purposes.
- Identify safety hazards and non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Mentor junior inspectors and site personnel on inspection procedures and quality practices.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend maintenance or replacement strategies.
- Ensure contractual and quality assurance requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage multiple inspection projects and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in mechanical inspection, quality assurance, construction supervision, or a related construction field.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural components, Saudi codes, and international construction standards.
- Proficiency in technical documentation, blueprint reading, CAD, inspection software, and digital documentation systems.
- Supervisory experience managing contractors and site personnel.
- Experience with commissioning and testing, safety management, quality assurance, technical reporting, and construction project software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Professional certification in mechanical inspection or construction quality assurance is preferred.
- Arabic language skills are preferred.

- The Work Location Model is On-Site.
- The role requires physical ability to conduct on-site inspections in various environmental conditions.
- New employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
