Mechanical -HVAC Engineer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate HVAC design, shop, coordination, and as-built drawings.
• Perform cooling load, duct sizing, chilled water pipe sizing, ventilation, exhaust, and pressure drop calculations.
• Develop FAHU, AHU, FCU, ventilation, exhaust, fresh air, smoke management, and chilled water systems.
• Coordinate HVAC works with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and other MEP services.
• Prepare material submittals, method statements, technical submissions, reports, and progress updates.
• Supervise installation, conduct site inspections, and coordinate consultant approvals.
• Identify technical and site coordination issues and support corrective action.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, balancing, and handover of HVAC systems.
• Ensure HVAC works comply with UAE authority requirements, project specifications, and international standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years of proven HVAC Engineer experience in construction or MEP.
• Experience in HVAC design, engineering calculations, shop drawings, and site execution.
• Building construction and MEP contracting experience is preferred.
• UAE or GCC experience is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, calculations, equipment selection, and building services.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of UAE authority requirements and applicable international HVAC standards.
• English written and verbal communication, technical analysis, problem solving, coordination, and multitasking skills.

Workplace and Employment

• Employment type is full-time.
• Work location is in person in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 3,000–6,000 per month.
