Role Overview
Lead and manage the complete Mechanical Maintenance function of a DRI/Sponge Iron Plant.
Ensure equipment availability, reliability, safety, and optimized maintenance cost.
The role reports to the Plant Head or General Manager and is based at the plant site.
Mechanical Maintenance
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, corrective, breakdown, shutdown, and project maintenance.
- Maintain equipment records and reduce mechanical breakdowns, downtime, and production losses.
- Monitor equipment health and identify potential failures before they occur.
Equipment Coverage
- Oversee rotary kiln, cooler, girth gear, pinion, rollers, bearings, seals, drives, lubrication systems, and associated equipment.
- Maintain raw-material feeding systems, conveyors, elevators, feeders, crushers, screens, hoppers, chutes, and product and char handling systems.
- Maintain ID fans, FD fans, cooling fans, blowers, process pumps, utility pumps, and other rotating equipment.
