Mechanical Engineering Team Member

This role is for a mechanical fitter to work in a heavy industrial environment working a shift pattern which consists of a week of days, a week of lates and a week of night shifts on a rotating basis Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will work in an engineering team comprising of both mechanical and electrical engineers.

The candidate should be either apprentice trained or have a recognised level 3 qualification such as a BTEC, C+G or NVQ Level 3.

We’re also keen to hear from individuals who have:

Experience using both MIG and stick welding apparatus.

Bench fitting. Building up and overhauling plant critical spares.

Knowledge and experience working on pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

The candidate will have experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance. In this role the candidate will be split between these activities.

Good communication skills.

Experience working on cylinders, chains, sprockets, pumps, bearings, roll conveyors etc.

Experience of working with computerized maintenance management systems (SAP PM experience would be ideal)

Basic computer literacy
