Key skills for this role
Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation.
Design GNSS product enclosures, antenna housings, seals, gaskets, mounting systems, and test fixtures.
Support PCB integration and packaging while considering antenna performance, EMI, and EMC requirements.
Create manufacturing drawings including GD&T and tolerance analysis.
Build, assemble, and evaluate prototypes for fit, function, reliability, and manufacturability.
Develop and execute design verification (DVT) test specifications plans and procedures.
Support environmental testing including Sine Sweep, Random Vibration, HALT, thermal cycling, ingress protection, and leak testing.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and participate in root-cause investigations.
Participate in Design FMEA (DFMEA) activities to improve product robustness and reliability.
Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams on materials, processes, tooling, and product quality.
Contribute to design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives for mechanical design and testing processes.
