Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate loading/unloading operations of oil, gas, or petroleum products of vessels, tanks and tankers and maintain stock records
- Interface with vessel crew, port authorities, surveyors, and internal teams to ensure safe and timely turnaround
- Monitor tank levels, flow rates, and loading plans to avoid overfill or spillage
- Ensure operational readiness of loading arms, pumps, valves, piping, marine loading hoses, and safety systems
- Identify mechanical faults and coordinate maintenance activities to avoid downtime
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance schedules
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with international and company HSE standards
- Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and incident investigations
- Prepare daily and shift reports, logbooks, and incident logs
- Contribute to operational efficiency initiatives and provide feedback on equipment upgrades
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with piping systems, pumps, valves, loading arms, and terminal infrastructure
- Knowledge of marine operations standards like ISGOTT, OCIMF, and API
- Working knowledge of safety systems, emergency response, and permit to work systems
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends

Job Summary
- We are seeking a proactive and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our operations team in overseeing loading and unloading activities at our terminal.
- The role involves ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant transfer of petroleum products between shore tanks and vessels, maintenance oversight of mechanical systems, and support for continuous operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate loading/unloading operations of oil, gas, or petroleum products of vessels, tanks and tankers and maintain stock records.
- Interface with vessel crew, port authorities, surveyors, and internal teams to ensure safe and timely turnaround.
- Monitor tank levels, flow rates, and loading plans to avoid overfill or spillage.
- Review and approve pre loading/unloading checklists and documentation (e.g., ship shore safety checklist, cargo plans).
- Ensure operational readiness of loading arms, pumps, valves, piping, marine loading hoses, and safety systems.
- Identify mechanical faults and coordinate maintenance activities to avoid downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with international and company HSE standards (e.g., ISGOTT, OCIMF).

- Ensure proper functioning of emergency shutdown systems and spill containment mechanisms.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Familiarity with piping systems, pumps, valves, loading arms, and terminal infrastructure.
- Knowledge of marine operations standards like ISGOTT, OCIMF, and API.
- Working knowledge of safety systems, emergency response, and permit to work systems.
Skills
- Strong mechanical and operational troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent coordination and communication with multi disciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in using operational software tools (e.g., SCADA, DCS, MS Office).
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Good understanding of technical drawings (P&ID, GA, isometric).
Work Environment
- On site work in marine terminal, jetty, or tank farm.
- Exposure to outdoor and potentially hazardous environments.
- PPE and safety protocols are mandatory.
