Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer supports the design, engineering, execution, and commissioning of mechanical and MEP systems across projects in Riyadh.
The role requires technical knowledge, coordination skills, and practical experience in mechanical systems and project execution.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, review, and coordinate mechanical and MEP systems in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Prepare and review shop drawings, technical submittals, material submittals, calculations, and method statements.
- Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, civil, architectural, and other disciplines.
- Review specifications, drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.
- Support selection and procurement of mechanical equipment and materials.
- Monitor site installation for compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
Testing and Project Delivery
- Participate in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system handover.
- Ensure mechanical works meet required quality, safety, schedule, and technical standards.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, inspection requests, and as-built documentation.
- Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Support project teams from design through completion.
Preferred Technical Experience
- Fuel systems, gas systems including LPG, SNG, LNG, and NG, steam systems, compressed air systems, HVAC, plumbing and drainage, pumping systems, industrial mechanical systems, and MEP systems are highly preferred.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical or MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation, and project execution.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good knowledge of relevant international standards and codes.
- Experience with AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or BIM is an advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Saudi Arabia or GCC project experience is preferred.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
