Role Overview
GAMMA MARINE is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for its Naval Architecture and Boat Building division.
The role supports the design, integration, and development of marine systems for boats and offshore structures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and integrating mechanical systems for boats and offshore structures.
- Support hull structure fabrication, piping, and propulsion system layouts.
- Create and review 2D and 3D CAD drawings and equipment layouts.
- Participate in dry dock inspections, system testing, and sea trials.
- Coordinate with vendors and shipbuilding teams on material selection and equipment installation.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- B.E., B.Tech, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0–2 years of experience; marine or mechanical design internship or project experience is a plus.
- One year of AutoCAD experience and one year of SolidWorks experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools.
- Good understanding of mechanical fundamentals, fluid systems, and structural elements.
- Eagerness to learn IMO, IRS, and DNV marine standards and shipboard systems.
- Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel.
Licence
- A valid driving licence is required.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Compensation
- Full-time position paying ₹15,000–₹40,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work location is in person in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.
