Internship Overview
Parsons is seeking a motivated mechanical engineering intern for work related to infrastructure and transportation sectors.
The internship provides hands-on experience, professional development events, mentorship, networking, and opportunities to contribute to the company culture.
The program duration will follow the period required by the intern’s educational institution.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Observe engineering team members performing design, analysis, testing, and implementation activities.
- Assist in preparing and updating mechanical drawings and layouts.
- Support basic design calculations under supervision.
- Help review technical documents, specifications, and reports.
- Assist in coordinating with civil, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
- Prepare simple reports, summaries, and presentations.
- Support day-to-day engineering and project tasks.
Education
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design and drafting software.
- Comfort with basic engineering calculations.
