The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the research, development, design, testing, and documentation of Aspen Avionics mechanical and structural components.
· Bachelor’s degree (BSME), required or equivalent.
· 7-10 years of Mechanical Design Experience
· Produce Mechanical designs that meet program requirements.
· Document designs for Manufacturing.
· Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
· Ability to perform Thermal Analysis.
· Ability to perform Structural Analysis.
· Knowledgeable in Material composition and properties.
· Design for Manufacturing.
· Generation of documentation.
· Ability to demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.
· Provides accurate and timely status on progress of assigned tasks.

· Knowledgeable in SolidWorks CAD
· Experience with the fundamentals of Avionics installation and design .
· Demonstrated experience designing and analyzing ruggedized avionics enclosures compliant with DO-160 standards.

· Ability to easily move through an approximately 45,000 square foot warehouse building.
· Ability to read, write, and understand English.
· Ability to use computer equipment, office equipment.
· Ability to have manual dexterity of both hands.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Correctable vision and hearing.
· Ability to work on-site full-time to perform functions of the job.
