Mechanical Design Engineer (Mid-Level) – Building Services

Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems including chilled water, DX, ventilation, and smoke management.
• Design public health systems covering domestic water, drainage, and pumping.
• Design fire protection systems including sprinklers, hydrants, and wet or dry systems.
• Prepare calculations, equipment selections, schedules, layouts, specifications, and schematics.
• Coordinate with electrical, ELV, and architectural teams, resolve clashes, and support value-engineering.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a consultancy environment.
• Demonstrable experience delivering projects in the Middle East.
• BEng in Mechanical Engineering.

Systems and Standards

• Use AutoCAD and Revit for design deliverables and BIM workflows.
• Apply Middle East authority requirements, including Civil Defence and local municipality or utility codes.
