Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi.
The role develops mechanical designs for residential and commercial building projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and other building-services systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review concept-to-detail engineering drawings and models using Revit and CAD tools.
- Perform calculations and analyses to ensure system performance and compliance with relevant standards.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in design reviews and support project documentation.
- Assist with specification development.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address technical issues and optimize design solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in mechanical engineering and design engineering applied to building services and systems.
- Skills in mechanical design for developing and optimizing mechanical components and equipment used within building projects.
- Proficiency in Revit and computer-aided design tools for detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of relevant international and local building codes and standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Beneficial Experience
- Experience in building-services design, including HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection, is highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in consulting or design firms and familiarity with project-based work environments are advantageous.
