Mechanical Design Engineer - Drill Bits

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Create drill-bit design and manufacturing packages using 3D modeling and data management systems.
• Interface with Product Line Management, Operations, Manufacturing, and Technology groups.
• Document and share lessons learned with cross-functional teams.
• Support Manufacturing with problem solving and issue resolution.
• Select engineering techniques and use analysis tools to make sound design recommendations.
• Drive consistent use of product design standards and support updates.
• Perform activities in line with HSE, quality, legal compliance, and cultural processes.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college is required.
• Two to five years of experience with drill bits is required, with design experience preferred.
• Experience with 3D CAD systems is required.
• Awareness of FEA and CFD principles is required.
• Familiarity with mechanical component design and applied methods is required.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
