Dolphin Heat Transfer is a leading engineering and manufacturing company specializing in Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, and Industrial Cooling Systems for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, and Industrial sectors across the UAE and GCC.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in ASME U & U2 certified Heat Exchanger manufacturing and static equipment design.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the mechanical design of Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, Air Cooled Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, and related equipment in compliance with ASME Codes and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Review client specifications and project documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Perform mechanical design calculations for Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, Air Cooled Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Columns, and static equipment using PV Elite software.
- Prepare detailed fabrication and engineering drawings as per ASME U & U2 Stamp requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, Authorized Inspectors (AI), vendors, quality, and production teams for technical clarifications and approvals.
- Prepare Material Requisitions (MR) and Technical Delivery Conditions (TDC) for procurement activities.
- Conduct stress analysis using WRC methods, Nozzle Pro, and ASME Code Calc tools.
- Review vendor drawings and resolve fabrication and design-related issues.
- Participate in ASME audits and client audits related to design activities.
- Support estimation and proposal teams with technical design inputs.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in ASME U & U2 certified Heat Exchanger manufacturing industries.
- Strong experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical static equipment design.
- Proficient in ASME Sec VIII Div 1 & 2, TEMA, API 660, API 661, and major client specifications such as ADNOC, Shell, PDO, KNPC/KOC.
- Strong hands-on experience in PV Elite software and stress analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- GCC/UAE project experience preferred.

- AutoCAD
- ERP Systems (EPICOR or similar)
