Role Overview

Core Engineering Work

• Perform structural load calculations, load path evaluations, rigging calculations, and preliminary FEM validation during concept development.
• Design and develop medium- to large-scale steel structures.
• Design bolted, welded, and sheet metal structures.
• Create 2D manufacturing drawings for sheet metal, welded fabrications, and assemblies using Siemens NX.
• Apply PLM processes and use Teamcenter.
• Apply GD&T/GPS standards and perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Conduct DFMEA and design risk assessments.
• Create and maintain BOMs, Material Masters, and inspection specifications for wind turbine components.

Experience and Education

• At least 5 years of overall experience is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant wind energy industry experience is preferred.
• A graduate or postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
