Role Overview
The role is a Mechanical Design Engineer (Vibro) in the Design Department.
The position is located in Thane and requires in-person work.
The role involves machine component design, engineering calculations, drawings, BOMs, and cross-functional project support.
Responsibilities
- Prepare machine design, General Arrangement, assembly, detail, and fabrication drawings.
- Develop drawings for shafts, sprockets, pulleys, gears, structural fabrication, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Create and maintain BOMs and update item codes in SAP, Baan, or similar ERP systems.
- Complete drawing revisions, as-built updates, and BOM corrections based on QA, Production, and Planning inputs.
- Assist the Design Manager with new machine designs and engineering solutions.
- Select standard bought-out components such as bearings, gearboxes, motors, chains, and pneumatic components.
- Prepare machine operation and instruction manuals.
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, QA, and Planning teams to resolve technical issues.
- Complete accurate design deliverables within project timelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed institute.
