SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining semi-trucks and heavy-duty equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role supports fleet reliability through preventive maintenance and timely repairs while upholding safety, quality, and compliance standards. The position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to minimize downtime and maintain overall equipment performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISBILITIES
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrain components on semi-trucks
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Inspect and repair brake, suspension, and steering systems to ensure safe operation
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, including wiring and onboard diagnostics
