FreshCo is part of a broader network of Sobeys-affiliated retail banners operating across Canada.
Role Overview
The Meat Manager leads the department, develops staff, supports customer loyalty, and contributes to employee and customer engagement.
The role is responsible for department operations, budgets, labour costs, inventory, product presentation, merchandising, and compliance.
People Leadership
- Create a coaching and development culture for store employees.
- Serve as a leadership role model and manage direct reports through selection, training, development, performance management, succession planning, and compensation.
- Manage store operations and communicate requirements or changes to department employees.
Customer Offering
- Create a shopping experience that supports customer loyalty, sales, and profit.
- Maintain product knowledge covering product changes, promotions, and seasonal trends.
