About the role
Team Global Express is currently seeking a qualified and experienced MC Driver to commence immediately at our Depot located in Emerald. This is a Permanent Full Time position offering stable employment, competitive benefits and ongoing opportunities for overtime.
Key responsibilities include
- Completing deliveries and pick-ups safely, efficiently and within required timeframes
- Conducting vehicle pre-start checks and ensuring vehicles are maintained in a roadworthy condition
- Restraining loads safely, including the correct use of straps, chains and associated equipment
- Following and complying with company procedures, policies and operational requirements
- Reporting hazards, near misses and incidents in accordance with company processes
- Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery documentation
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and consistently applying safe work practices
- Providing professional customer service while representing Team Global Express
- The successful applicant will be entitled to 15% Superannuation and a Location Allowance which applies to all ordinary hours worked.
What you'll bring
A current and unrestricted MC Licence
Previous experience in a similar heavy vehicle driving role
The ability to safely operate both automatic and manual heavy vehicles
Strong knowledge of load restraint practices and the safe use of straps and chains
