Responsibilities
- Conduct live, 1:1 online sessions to help students understand IGCSE Mathematics concepts
- Support students with homework, exam preparation, and problem solving strategies
- Explain concepts clearly and demonstrate step by step solutions
- Adapt teaching methods to different learning styles
- Use digital tools to illustrate key ideas
- Provide timely feedback and encourage student engagement and confidence
- Manage availability on the platform and respond promptly to session requests
- Uphold Filo’s standards for quality, academic integrity, and learner support
Requirements
- Strong subject expertise in Mathematics with solid grasp of IGCSE curriculum and core topics such as Algebra
- Demonstrated experience in Tutoring and Online Tutoring
- Excellent Communication skills
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and online whiteboards
- Prior experience preparing learners for IGCSE or similar secondary level math exams is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and offer flexible hours
- Commitment to inclusive, respectful, and student centered teaching

Role Description
- This is a remote, contract role for a Maths IGCSE Tutor.
- The tutor will conduct live, 1:1 online sessions to help students understand IGCSE Mathematics concepts.
- Daily responsibilities include explaining concepts, demonstrating solutions, adapting teaching methods, and using digital tools.
- Tutors provide timely feedback, encourage engagement, and maintain a professional environment.
